we're here!

i've got 10 minutes left of internet access, so i thought i'd just jot down a quick note....got in around 10:30pm local time, but didn't get to the hostel until after midnight. no major mishaps, even on the 10 min walk from the train station to the hostel in the middle of the night! hopefully our luck continues. anyway, it's hot and humid and my bed is right beside the window which opens out to the street, so it's also a bit noisy. short story long, i couldn't really sleep, so i decided to just get up and start my day. not much else to say, since we haven't seen anything yet! check back in a couple of days!
